Well, a new year is nearly upon us and I nearly have a new baby in my little family! Having all these kids means I don't get much time to play games these days, much less write reviews or provide content for them! I am hoping to keep this site ticking over for a while longer and one day in the future hope to do an overhaul and get this site looking like it belongs in this decade! We still get quite a few visitors, and to those people I say - thanks for visiting and I hope you find what you're looking for! It is quite niche website these days, even abandonware websites are being mostly abandoned! But with the likes of the excellent Gog.com providing many old games (thus making them no longer abandoned!) it is hardly surprising really!

Just played through Simon the Sorcerer V. I have to say it wasn't the greatest game in the world, and at times I found myself thinking why am I even bothering to continue playing... The poor voice acting was driving me mad. Not even the fact that Simon is American as he was in Simon 4, just generally poor all round).

Graphically the game is stunning, you couldn't really ask for more in an adventure game (compare to Simon 3D for instance - although that had a much better story!).

The ending of the game is the most fun though, but I'll leave that for you to play (or lookup on YouTube!) and decide for yourselves.

For now though, you can read our review of the original Simon the Sorcerer or buy the game from GOG.com, along with it's sequels Simon the Sorcerer II and Simon the Sorcerer 3D.
